Jennifer Caguioa, MBE, RN
Jennifer Caguioa MBE is a distinguished Filipino nurse leader whose career reflects resilience, service and a deep commitment to advancing nursing leadership in the United Kingdom. She currently serves as a Senior Clinical Manager in NHS England’s Nursing Directorate, Midlands region, where she contributes to national and regional work that supports quality, professional development and improvement across nursing practice.
Alongside her NHS role, Jennifer is an elected Council and London Board Member of the Royal College of Nursing, the largest union and professional body for nurses in the UK, representing more than half a million nursing professionals. Across every role she holds, Jennifer is driven by a clear purpose: to ensure nurses are supported, valued and empowered to lead meaningful change.
Her leadership is grounded in the Filipino values of humility, perseverance and collective responsibility. Guided by the maxim, “Learn how to bend and you’ll never break,” Jennifer embodies the quiet strength and adaptability that have shaped many Filipino professionals working across British society.
Jennifer’s journey has also been one of finding and using her voice. Often seen as a calm and reserved leader, she has become a powerful advocate for visibility, recognition and equity, particularly for global majority nurses whose contributions are too often overlooked. Her decision to speak up and lead with courage has become central to her purpose.
In 2025, Jennifer was awarded Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to nursing. In January 2026, she was also recognised as one of the Ten Outstanding Global Filipino Nurse Awardees by the Philippine Nurses Association of America Foundation. Yet, beyond professional honours, she considers motherhood to her three children her proudest achievement.
Jennifer continues to inspire young Filipino women to believe in themselves, use their voice and stand tall in their identity.
