Kier Dungo

Kier Dungo is a respected nurse leader, social care advocate and Founder and Chair of Filipinos in Care. His leadership is rooted in compassion, inclusion and a clear belief that care professionals should be seen, supported and given the opportunity to lead.

Kier began his social care journey in 2018 and has since progressed into senior leadership roles across the adult social care sector. He has held senior positions within Maria Mallaband Care Group and Gold Care Homes, with experience spanning home management, regional leadership and wider operational oversight. His work has focused on raising care standards, supporting teams and building positive, values led services for residents, families and colleagues. 

In 2024, Kier received the Chief Nursing Officer for Adult Social Care Gold Award, presented by Professor Deborah Sturdy CBE during the launch of Filipinos in Care in London. The award recognised his outstanding contribution to adult social care and his role as a visible Filipino leader within the sector. 

Kier has also been recognised nationally for his leadership. He received the Executive Care Home Leader Award at the Social Care Top 30 Leadership Awards, where he was acknowledged for his commitment to care quality, innovation, mentorship and community service. 

Alongside his professional leadership, Kier is a passionate advocate for diversity, representation and career progression in social care. As Co-Chair of the Skills for Care Global Majority Nursing Network, he has contributed to national conversations on inclusion, connection and empowerment for Black and Asian nurses working in social care. 

As Founder and Chair of Filipinos in Care, Kier brings vision, authenticity and a strong sense of purpose. He is committed to creating a platform where Filipino care professionals are celebrated, mentored and supported to step into leadership. His work continues to inspire others to lead with kindness, courage and quiet determination, which is no small thing in a sector that rarely lets anyone have a quiet day.
