London, 24 May 2025 – Filipinos in Care CIC is proud to officially launch Project CHARM (Care Home Aspiring Registered Managers), a pioneering leadership development programme aimed at empowering the next generation of care home leaders from within the UK’s diverse health and social care workforce.
After a rigorous application and interview process, 10 exceptional candidates have been selected for the programme’s inaugural cohort. Representing a range of clinical and operational backgrounds across the care sector, these aspiring leaders have demonstrated not only ambition and capability but a deep commitment to person-centred care and cultural excellence.
Designed by care leaders for future care leaders, Project CHARM is a four-module, evidence-based programme delivered over several weeks. The curriculum blends regulatory insight, business acumen, leadership coaching, and reflective practice—all aligned with sector priorities outlined by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), Skills for Care, and the NHS People Plan.
“Project CHARM is more than a course—it’s a movement,” said Jay Trondillo, President of Filipinos in Care CIC and architect of the programme. “We are investing in real talent to ensure that tomorrow’s care home managers are equipped not just to run services, but to transform them.”
Backed by senior figures in social care and supported by expert facilitators, the programme also addresses key challenges in workforce sustainability, equity in leadership, and culturally competent care. Project CHARM is part of the wider mission of Filipinos in Care CIC to raise the profile and potential of Filipino and ethnically diverse professionals in UK care settings.
The programme officially kicks off in June 2025, with plans already underway to expand future cohorts and explore accreditation pathways in partnership with leading organisations.
