Filipinos in Care Leaders Receive Prestigious National Award from the Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care

London, 06 May 2026 - Filipinos in Care is proud to celebrate the recognition of two of its leaders, Jay Trondillo and Xyza Macutay-Malloch, who have both received the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Silver Award.

Presented by Professor Deborah Sturdy, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care, the award recognises individuals who have made outstanding contributions to adult social care through leadership, innovation, workforce development, and commitment to high quality care.

The recognition reflects not only individual achievement, but also the wider work of Filipinos in Care in championing internationally educated workers, promoting leadership development, and supporting the health and social care workforce across the UK.

Jay Trondillo said:

“Receiving this award alongside Xam makes it even more meaningful. Much of the work we do through Filipinos in Care has always been grounded in supporting people, creating opportunities, and raising the profile of internationally educated staff within social care.”

Xyza Macutay-Malloch added:

This recognition is incredibly humbling. It reflects the collective effort of many people who continue to advocate for compassionate leadership, professional growth, and community within the sector.”

Filipinos in Care extends its sincere thanks to colleagues, partners, and the wider community whose continued support has helped shape the organisation’s growing impact across the sector.
